The German Development Institute (DIE) in Bonn provides training for young scientists and advises political institutions and governments. It sees itself as a “think tank” for German development policy and produces high level scientific analyses and statements.
In an international environment with a growing number of similar organizations, there was a need to establish a clear position and a distinguishable profile. Together with the new management and representatives from the various departments, we developed a new self-image and corporate design for the institute. The conception started with a workshop to create values and guiding principles. The basic visual elements for the design were discussed and selected in a workshop to create a new image.
We implemented a concept for brochures and scientific publications, which could be carried out independently from editorial office to production. We designed also the signage for the buildings, a large number of teaching materials, the Internet pages and an annual brochure presenting the services and image of the organisation.
